No set days – different evenings during the week (during the day in school holidays)!

Mostly found on the Market Square or in Tesco’s carpark (far end).

The On the Spot van is a mobile chill out space which offers activities and a friendly, safe place for Haverhill’s young people to be.

It was set up in June 2010 as young people wanted a facility that could move around town and to different places where they were.

Anyone between the age of 12 and 19 is welcome to drop in. We have a comfortable space inside and we have tables for outside.

There are also laptops available which can be used for research and to access apprenticeships and other important information.

The van has a collection of useful leaflets and posters on board with information on drugs, alcohol laws and problems, sexual health, knife crime, keeping property safe, accommodation and bullying.

There is an xbox1 with games, a Wii, TV and music equipment, DJ kit as well as some sports equipment.

In the past we have had other professionals and members of the community visiting us to share information including; sexual health workers, police, fire service, community development workers, Mayors, Councillors, family support workers, youth offending team members.

If young people ask for info and we don’t have it we can Google together or talk to other professionals.

2 Youth Workers are out each session with the van.
